Each year, OMLA proudly hosts the Annual Summer Social & Fundraiser, the primary source of funding for our flagship Bar Exam Grant Program. The event brings together OMLA members, supporters and guests for an evening of connection, community and celebration away from the demands of the legal profession. The History of the OMLA Summer Social & Fundraiser
The first OMLA Summer Social and Auction was held in summer 2000. The board of directors included Aruna Masih, Ernest Estes, Anastasia Yu Meisner and Kesa Yorozu.
Since then, OMLA has hosted the Summer Social and Fundraiser as an annual event and, with support from the local legal and business community, has raised enough money to award more than 240 Bar Exam Grants. The Bar Exam Grant Program helps cover bar exam fees and preparation courses for graduating law students and recent graduates whose work and goals further OMLA’s mission.
Each year, OMLA members donate their time and resources to support and administer this unique, career-changing program. On behalf of all past award recipients, we extend our sincere gratitude to the sponsors, volunteers and community members who have made the program possible.
