The History of the OMLA Summer Social & Fundraising Auction
The first OMLA Summer Social & Fundraising Auction was held in the summer of 2000. The Board of Directors of directors consisted of Aruna Masih, Ernest Estes, Anastasia Yu Meisner, and Kesa Yorozu. Since then, OMLA has held the Summer Auction as an annual event and, with the help of the local legal and business community, raised enough money to award more than 240 Bar Exam Grants. Our Bar Exam Grant program is designed to pay for bar exam fees and preparation courses for graduating law students and recent graduates that further the OMLA mission.
Every year, OMLA members donate their time and resources to raising money and administering this unique and career changing program. On behalf of all of our previous awardees, we extend our sincerest gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, and community members that have made this program possible.
If you would like to become an organization sponsor, donate items for Auction, or volunteer in another way, please contact Suji Patel or Samantha Copeland.
